Course components

Program components will tentatively be selected from among the following possibilities...
  • needs analysis
  • comparative diagnostic testing at the start and the end of the course
  • self and collaborative determination of objectives
  • formative evaluation by learners, peers, and the teacher
  • learning contract
  • teacher and self evaluation of attendance
  • homework
  • reflective journal to be submitted by e-mail
  • task-based experiential lessons with gradual and supported transfer of autonomy and role sharing
  • learning dossier as evidence of learning undertaken and achievements
  • language biography to review learning history, evaluate English communicative proficiencies and promote awareness
